On having an attitude of abundance...

This week my theme has been abundance. Your life will improve drastically if you approach the world from a point of view that the universe is abundant. If you can rewire your thinking to come from a mindset of abundance you will attract health and success.

Amsterdam, Schiphol, Sunday January 24th

When I was sitting in a Dutch pub last night, eating dinner, the ambient music piped in for our pleasure was disco. It seemed a bit jarring and dissonant to my settings. Disco is alive and well in Holland. Alive to me with all its sweaty, hairy, ebullient escapism.

Sometimes all we really need is perspective.

This is a true story about how a couple of women I’ve never met changed my thought patterns one afternoon. I think you’ll find it interesting and maybe take a lesson from it for your own life.

The Ragnar New England Overnight Relay

Summary: I and 5 other virtual friends took on the first running of the Ragnar New England this weekend.

We ran around 200 miles from New Haven, CT to Boston, MA. It took us 27+ hours. We ran an “Ultra” team – that is we ran a course meant for a 12-person team with 6 people.

We pulled the team together virtually through the social networking tool Twitter and got Brooks Running to sponsor us with equipment and shoes. (so none of us really ever me

Wear tester review of Patagonia Release trail shoes with Vibram soles.

I was asked by Vibram to take a pair of Patagonia Release shoes for a test and share my feedback. I took these shoes for a 17 mile trail run through single path, gravel road, rocks, roots, leaves, pine needles, mud and grass. They are a substantial trail shoe and they performed well. I had no issues with them and could see using them in an ultra. Good, sturdy, solid shoes. This seems to be the type of shoe you would get if a hiking boot company decided to make a running shoe!
