...and quit overstriding! Proper form will almost certainly help. Read about overstriding, Chi Running, the Pose Method, minimalist running, or go to YouTube and search for videos.

is a good start.

Hi - I realize this is a guest post, but could someone please ask Mr. Chapelle about the Dr. Scholl's inserts? The item shown in the link says it's the PRO for arches. But, Dr. Scholl's also makes a PRO specifically for PF. Realizing Mr. Chapelle says to get the specific item shown in the link (which would be the arch ones), before purchasing, I just want to confirm that arches are what he meant. This is a great article, thanks for sharing! Thanks!!

HIIT on an elliptical is one of the toughest and efficient workouts you can do IMHO.

I did these once a week for 15 - 20 mins and got insane heart rate response. R charts look like mountains ranges going from 180 down to 90. Amazing!

3 min warm up

30 sec 90% of your max speed at the highest resistance you can handle.

1 min cool 50% max

Repeat for 15 min. If you can do 15 mins easily you are not going hard enough. When I read the method the first time they author mentioned, "you will want to barf." He was NOT WRONG! I guess that's considered doing it right.

He also stressed once a week.

I'm just a "night jogger" My pace is too slow to be considered anything else. Sucks but I can't go faster than a 7:28 pace for a 5K. Cassidy, I'm not! :\

hahaha I could not agree more! I feel trapped on that thing even though I have every luxury within arms reach PLUS Internet and TV! Still love mine though. I have Achilles tendinitis, so I'm banished from running as well. Best of luck healing, I've had plantar fasciitis years ago and honestly, spin class is what helped heal it. Best of luck!

I can so relate to this. Painfully relate to this. Everything you say. I have moved from room to room in my home to try and get the coolest place to pound the turbo trainer. I use it with a powermeter whereby I have absolutely no where to hide. At all. Within two minutes I look like someone has thrown a bucket of water over me. The music...I get...I try not to look at the time on the Garmin until a song is completed.

But..........all that said. It's great training and I am really pleased I have this option as oppose not training at all.
